Jumbo Jet 1972-1978
Jumbo Jet opened at Cedar Point in 1972. At the time Jumbo Jet was Cedar Point's fourth roller coaster.
At the time Jumbo Jet was Cedar Point's most modern roller coaster. Jumbo Jet included an electric lift that would spin its riders as they would go up the lift hill. Jumbo Jet featured 60 degree banked turns. Riders on Jumbo Jet would sit in six rows of two people each.
Jumbo Jet was located on the Cedar Point beach. Jumbo Jet would often have very long lines for its day. |
Jumbo Jet was removed from Cedar Point and replaced with the relocated WildCat. Since Jumbo Jet left Cedar Point, it has been relocated to four parks. Today GateKeeper sits on the site of the former Jumbo Jet. As of the 2010 season, Jumbo Jet is located at the Dreamland Amusement Park
